Do you all play?
November 26, 2006
Does everyone here play? Or is someone like me, who never plays but hopes to win? I know it is quite a stupid idea, but it simply seems so useless to buy the ticket knowing you have a one chance out of I-don’t-know-how-many-millions…
My ferret
November 8, 2006
This is my ferret, Joey (yes, I did take his name out of “Friends”). He is now 5 years old and I adopted him in July 2000, a few months after I changed schools, and entered the French school. I got it as a present for my persistence: when I started here at the French school I couldn’t understand a word of French, so I had a really difficult time adapting, so Joey kept me good company in the beginning.
Lately I’ve felt really bad because I haven’t been giving much attention to him, because I’m always doing something else…
Well, in this picture he’s yawning (no, I’m not trying to kill him), which is quit a normal thing because he sleeps about 18h a day…
That’s pretty much it…
Project Red
November 1, 2006

In this site http://blogking.learnerblogs.org/ you may find a little information about project red. It is a project develloped by Bono, the singer from U2. The main idea of the project is quite simple: some companies like Motorola produce red products (like the cellphone on the picture) and some of the money gathered from the sale of those products is sent to institutions that help people with AIDS. This project only shows even more how much Bono is worth admiering: not only he is a great singer, but he also cares about the world he lives in. That’s what we all should do, but unfortunately only very few can (and specially, only few want…).
Feel Free
August 16, 2006
If you stop procrastinating only for a minute what happens? You feel free! Everything you do now won’t have to be done later! But, why is it so temptating to do it all later?
Other passion…
April 26, 2006
As you can all see, my picture isn’t a picture of me, but a picture that represents the symbol of Corinthians, a Brazilian soccer team, actually THE BEST soccer team from Brazil…
I was looking at other people’s blog, and when I saw Sergio’s blog ( http://blogs.ecml.at/blog.asp?id=243&pg=2&mt=11&yr=2006 )I simply had to talk about my second favourite team… Barcelona.
First of all, I’m half Spanish, so it is simply logical that I support a Spanish team.
Second of all, Ronaldinho (my favourite soccer player and one of the people I respect the most and would certainly like to meet), Deco (who was actually born in Brazil) and Edmilson play in Barcelona. Actually, so does Beletti, but since he used to play for “São Paulo”, one of Corinthians’s biggest rivals, I’m really not a fan…
Third: It’s the best team from Europe (maybe Milan (which I also support), from Italy is as good as Barcelona, but I’m not sure…)
Well, that pretty much sums my passion for Barcelona up…
See ya next time!
My Carnival vacations…
March 4, 2006
![]()
Hi again people!
Well, my Carnival vacations weren't exactly the most "active" ones, but they were fun.
I went to a friend's country house, actually he has a blog too, Philippe, near Juquitiba city. We were 4 friend's there, and we spent all five day there.
We arrived on Friday night, around 20h, so that day we didn't have much time to do anything. We played some ping-pong, had dinner and went to bed. The next day we got up around 13h, had breakfast and went to the pool. We had lunch and played "War". We played some soccer and some football and played "Perfil", a Quiz game. The other days were pretty much the same, except for Tuesday, when we went to the river to swim (I didn't get in because I was tired of swimming already ). On Wednesday, we started our trip back around noon, and we arived at São Paulo around 13h40, on time to watch the second half of the match Brazil x Russia.
For me Carnival doesn't mean much, except 5 days of vacation . On the other hand, for almost all the other Brazilians it is one of the most important holidays. For me it doesn't mean much because I don't see a true meaning behind it, it's not a holiday to spend with your family (as Christmas for example), it's not a holiday to think about your plans (as is New Year's Eve), you don't get any presents … I also think that the parades are boring, they all look alike and they don't have a purpose either, it's just a bunch of people dancing and singing some bad music…
About the pictures: On the left we have the flag of the city of Juquitiba and on the right we have a picture of the parade done by the school "Beija-Flor", one of the most famous ones in Brazil.
Well, that pretty much does it.
See Ya!
Well, I really don't know how to describe myself, so I'll keep it short and simple.
My name is Thomas, and I was born in São Paulo, Brazil in 1990, more precisely on 29th October.
My hobbies are basically playing soccer (I play when I can with my friends, I'm no pro (that's for sure….)), watching TV (especially Friends!), sleeping as much as I can, spending hours in front of the computer chatting with my friends, playing with my pets (I have a ferret and a dog), etc.
I love Italian, French and Spanish food, but I hate sweet and sour dishes… I study at the Lycée Pasteur, as you all probably know, and I've been studying here for more than 5 years now. I studied at 6 schools before this one, all in Brazil, but most of them closed (like "Degrau") or only taught children up to a certain age (like "Canadá"). I liked most of them, but I like the Lycée better.
I won't include any pictures of myself here because I hate the way I look in pictures, I always have this dumb look, or that "Chandler smile" (for those of you who don't watch Friends, it's ok not to understand what that means…check out the pic ;-))

Other than that I don't have much to say, after all I'm not exactly the most interesting person on Earth =P , I'm just a regular student just like all of you .
That pretty much does it…
See ya!
